When a user starts using Truecaller, it uploads all the contacts of that user to its database. So when you search for a number on Truecaller, it shows you the name the user saved in his/her phonebook.

Here are some easy steps to remove your number from truecaller:
NOTE:- If you are using truecaller app, as for the first step you have to deactivate your account from your phone.
Step-1. After deactivation your account, enter truecaller.com/unlisting in your browser to go to Truecaller number unlist page.
Step-2. Now enter your mobile number with your country code.
Step-3. Verify yourself by captcha.
Step-4. Click on UNLIST PHONE NUMBER button.
It may take upto 24 hours to remove your number from Truecaller.
